Summer and the continuous rain

Now in Korea it is summer. It is very hot and it is also the rainy season. Due to the rain and the heat, living in Korea is not difficult especially in cities like Busan and Daejeon, etc. However, this time of year is not all fun and relaxing for everyone. Some regions are suffering due to this situation, as residences, restaurants, schools, etc. experience major floods resulting in catastrophic damage. I hope this problem is resolved as soon as possible. Even if it is in the future, one still needs to prepare in advance. Right now, the unfortunate truth is that there is a lack of commitment by those who manage these regions and are responsible for the people living there.

 

 

The contactless journey

When it's hot, Koreans go to the sea to cool off or travel with family or friends to get some relief from the summer heat.

However, life before and after COVID19 is very different. Before, one would go on vacation to a resort or abroad, or spend it with family or friends. In particular, in the hot summer, the sea, rivers, and valleys were very popular. However, lately, people prefer camping alone with their family and traveling by car. Because in these ways direct contact with others is avoided and one can maintain social distance.

Note:

Traveling by car: It means that you stay and sleep in the car. If you have a car, you can camp anywhere. The advantage of this is that you can enjoy camping with minimum equipment, so it is not necessary to carry as much equipment.

 

 

The products of the summer camping

In this summer season, Starbucks, Hallis, Dunkin 'Donuts, Twosome Place, etc., have unveiled camping products, AND have gained popularity and interest beyond what one imagined.

In particular, "Summer lady back", a Starbucks product has garnered much attention. According to management, demand is said to have increased compared to supply, making quantities difficult to manage. Even the transactions made have been made at a high price. In summer these types of products become popular. A personal example, that I can vouch for, is that my younger sister even stood in line waiting to obtain this very Starbucks product.
