The International Market

The film I want to present this time is the international market.
The movie is a drama released on December 17, 2014.
It is a film that made many Koreans cry.

Korea is

Because of war and political upheaval. There was a tragedy of separated families wherever people lived, regardless of the east or west. South Korea and North Korea are also among the countries that have suffered from division.

In the early hours of June 25, 1950, the Korean Warr broke out when North Korean communist forces illegally invaded the 38th parallel, which was the inter-Korean demarcation line. South Korea and North Korea were divided by the Korean War, and families were unable to reunite. Thus, numerous families were separated.

Note: Separated families
This refers to a family that is unable to meet or is unable to meet each other due to circumstances such as the division of the two Koreas.

Plot

"The most ordinary but greatest of fathers."

Contextualized from the early days of the Korean War in the 1950s to the present, it focuses on the process of a man becoming the father of a family from childhood, Deoksu
(Hwang Jung-min), who has lived the age of turmoil.

He had many things he wanted to do and be, but never lived for himself in his life.
"It's okay." "That's good." "I'm glad." "I had a hard time."
It shows our father who has lived hard only for his family.

Most Memorable Scene

What Deoksu's father told Deoksu before he said goodbye to his son amidst many tears.
It is one of the most memorable scenes.

Listen carefully
You all will be without me. I know you are the eldest son.
No matter what happens, family comes first.
Take care of the family.
